School Nurse Supplies Drive

We are continuing  to collect these items during the summer and will distribute them in the fall.

Many of the items may be bought at the dollar stores and may be generic. Following is a list of some of the items needed.

Some children may have skipped meals so peanut butter and crackers or cheese are helpful. Juices for low blood sugar or dehydration; cough drops or peppermints; generic Tylenol, 325 mg. tablets and capsules, or liquid; generic Benadryl; saltine crackers; graham crackers; individual juices; Gatorade powder; sun screen; tampons; lotion; band-aids; petroleum jelly, Vicks VapoRub; antibacterial ointment; toothbrushes and paste; dental floss; mouthwash; combs; hair ties for ponytails; baby wipes; rubbing alcohol; undergarments and socks for small teenagers and kindergarten boys and girls. There is a container in the narthex for receiving these items.

If you wish to make a monetary donation, label one of the giving envelopes “Nurse Supplies” and put it in the collection plate and someone will do the shopping for you.

Thanks to Dawn for taking the time to put together this list. These supplies will be stored at her school for distribution this fall.

Earn Money for the Church!

What if the United Methodist Church earned a donation every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our cause? Well, now it can!

GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!

GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting your favorite cause.

Just go to www.goodsearch.com (or use the links on the home page) and be sure to enter United Methodist Church of Casa Grande as the charity you want to support. And, be sure to spread the word!
